Demisii la nivel înalt la Casa Albă după ce susţinători ai lui Donald Trump au asaltat joi Congresul Statelor Unite. Şeful Poliţiei Capitoliului, Steve Sund, şi-a anunţat şi el demisia din data de 16 ianuarie. Investigaţia a fost declanşată după ce unii dintre agenţi au pactizat cu demonstranţii, le-au permis accesul în clădire şi chiar şi-au făcut fotografii cu ei. Demisia şefului Poliţiei Capitoliului a fost cerută inclusiv de preşedintele Camerei Reprezentanţilor, Nancy Pelosi, care l-a învinuit de gestionarea defectuoasă a situaţiei.
